Many Coins!

Today we found 1.16 in change and 13 bottles and cans.

With much of the snow on the roads now melted, our change finding ways took a big turn in a positive direction. Michele started out the day with a 51-cent infusion. All the coins were found on Mill Street (2 quarters and 1 penny). Both of the quarters were found in the middle of the road. A little later, on my run, I really hit the jackpot! The first of 39 cents was found heading down Main Street (a nickel). It was right next to Jim’s Alignment Center. Next, I picked up 3 pennies on Brook Street. The other finds were a nickel on North Street, 1 penny on Webster, and a quarter coming down Mill Street.

The evening walk added a little on the cake. The first penny was found walking up Mill. I had spotted a couple of bottles there earlier so while we were out on our walk I thought I’d pick them up. We also found 24 cents and the car wash (2 dimes and 4 pennies). The first 11 cents were around the vacuum station islands and the other 13 cents was on the ground in one of the self-serve bays. The final cent of the walk was found in the 7-11 parking lot.
