The Day After!

Today we found 12 cents in coin and 29 bottles and cans.

What a difference a day makes. Yesterday it was warm and dry and almost spring like. Today it was cold and damp, and it definitely had the feel of late November in Maine. There’s nothing like going for a run or taking a long walk in a slow, steady, raw drizzle.

Now for more cheery talk – On the money side of things, I was able to pick up a dime on my run this afternoon. I got it on Dorsey, toward the middle of the road just laying there needing to be carried away, which I did very willingly. The other 2 cents came on the evening walk. We found one penny at the high school and one penny at the car wash. We did also pick up a fair amount of bottles and cans on our trek as well, not to mention some power aid and coke caps, too. I’ll be updating those totals tomorrow.
