Getting Ready For Winter!
Today we found 75 cents in change and 17 bottles and cans.
We spent the better part of the day tidying up before the really cold weather sets in. There was deck furniture to put away as well as some restructuring of the garage area. While we did accomplish a good amount of progress, there’s still some yard work to be done. Luckily, the extended forecast is supposed to be rain free for the next few days. That means I’ll be able to take care of the leaves in the front and back yard.
Money update – Michele did some real damage on her morning walk with Lexi (38 cents). She found 7 cents on Barbara (1 nickel and 2 pennies), a dime on Payne Street, a dime on Bridge Street and 1 penny in the rite aid parking. She also picked up a dime in the parking lot on her way into the Goodwill store to look for bargains.
Our evening walk also proved to be profitable as well. All of the 37 cents were found in one spot, the car wash. Most the coins were found in and around the vacuum areas, but we did pick up 16 cents in one of the self-serve bays as well. The final penny came when I went to Hannafords to pick up a couple of things for supper. It was by one of the checkout counters.
