Have A Seat!

Today we found 38 cents and 78 bottles and cans.

One day after the torrential downpours, we had to deal with the very high winds. It was a nasty one-two punch that caused lots of power outages throughout the state. Luckily for us the power was flowing as usual and that’s a good thing. It reminded me all too much of a nor’easter except we didn’t have any snow. All I can say is that I’m not looking forward to any of those kinds of days in the near future.

On the money scene – Michele continued her aggressive coin finding streak with 2 cents on her walk with Lexi. The first was found on Weeman Street, then, she collected a penny in the rite aid parking lot. She also had good luck on her run finding 2 more pennies. Both of the coins were found on Pleasant Street.

The rest of the action took place on the evening walk with Lexi. At the car wash, we were able to corral 12 cents (1 dime and 2 pennies). All of the coins were near the vacuum stations. Next, coming up Main Street, we picked up 3 more pennies. At the skateboard park we found another 6 cents (1 nickel and one penny) and at the 7-11 we recovered the final 13 cents (1 dime and 3 pennies).

On an interesting note, while at the ssya field the evening, not only did we have good luck with finding bottles and cans, we also picked up nice hunter green outdoor camp/lounge chair. It’s a pretty nice one with cup holder and full arm rests so we’re pleased as punch to have it. Just another reason why I’m glad I started doing this.
