Jackpot!

Today we found 2.62 in change and 12 bottle and cans.

It was a day of heavy rain around here as the skies opened up and raindrops began. Michele did go out for her morning walk with Lexi but it was a wet one and only netted on penny during their venture. While we watched and waited for a chance to get in the evening walk, we decided to head out for a little snack shopping. First we hit Mardens, a discount store which carries a little bit of everything. While there we purchased some cereal but also found a penny near the checkout isles. After that, we stopped at the dollar store for a few more snacks and then to Goodwill (Michele was donating some clothes) before heading home.

We finally got a break in the weather for the evening walk around 5:15 or so. It was lightly raining but we toughed it out for our little girl. The first and only source of coin finds were from the car wash where we came across a plastic bag full of coins on one of the vacuum islands (2.60 in coin). It seems someone either did not want this change or simply forgot about it. Either way, it was finders-keepers and we were all too glad to accept it. Not wanting to press our luck, we headed in the direction of the house in an up tempo stride, and, as luck would have it, not very long after we got back into our warm, dry comfort of home, it started raining cats and dogs once again. It seems that the luck of missing inclement weather was also on our shoulder.

Good Night and Good Hunting!
