Pounding The Pavement!

Today we found 1.58 in coins and 26 bottles and cans.

This morning, Michele went out early for her walk, about 5:45 am with her trusty little sidekick Lexi, actually, she’s not that little. Anyway, it appeared that getting an early start would turn out to be very profitable. Just down from our house she picked up 3 quarters on the side of the road, then she finished up with one penny on Mill Street.

Meanwhile, at her field hockey practice (She’s the varsity coach) she also found another quarter and a penny. I didn’t have any luck on my run or cool down walk but did score some returnables along the way.

The evening walk netted the rest of the bounty. We picked up 31 cents at the car wash (quarter, nickel, penny) and yes, another quarter and a penny on Main Street.

Side note – coke cap, power aid cap, dr. pepper cap update – We currently have 725 points for the coke rewards, 111 for the power aid rewards and 0 – 16 in the Dr. Pepper win a hummer sweepstakes. Bummer!
