Change, Change, and More Change!

This month has been an interesting one so far, we’ve had some dollar finds, an 18k gold ring (see earlier blog), and lots of change. Today was another of surprises, and that’s why we enjoy it so much because you never know what’s around the corner.

Our total for the day was 1.26 in change and 45 bottles and cans. Michele found the majority of it on her morning walk with Lexi. It seems our little girl was in need of a pee stop so Michele found an out of the way area on the corner of Elm and Payne. Little did she know that when she did, she stumbled upon a change purse with 91 cents, mostly pennies, that was in the gully (see picture). She found 2 other pennies on Mill and Allen.

After I had finished my 5 miler, we took our bikes and rode the course again to pick up the bottles and cans that I had spotted earlier. We did also pick up 27 cents as well, a dime and a penny on Riverbank, 10 pennies on Dorsey, 2 on Pine, one on Main and 2 at the 7-11. The evening walk netted 6 more cents, 4 pennies at the car wash and 2 at the 7-11.

I can’t wait for tomorrow!

Good Night and Good Hunting!
