The Tin Man!

Today we found 92 cents in change and 22 bottles and cans.

It was another interesting day of treasure hunting on the streets of Springvale and Sanford. Michele started off the scoring with a quarter she found while at school. She found it in the parking lot on the way to her car.

The evening walk added 67 cents to the total (1 quarter, 2 dimes, 2 nickels and 12 pennies). The first coin finds, both pennies, we found on the sidewalk right in front of the Black Bear Café. At the car wash we scooped up 55 cents, most of which was scattered on the ground in the different vacuum areas. We did find a quarter at the entrance of one the automatic washes though. Finally, as we headed up Main Street, we found 2 nickels about 100 yards apart from one another.

Sidebar – In addition to the coins and bottles, we also found a tin man doll and a manicure bag complete with all the tools of the trade.
