April Showers, and Cold Weather....

Today we found 38 cents in change 26 bottles and cans.

It felt more like mid-November than it did early April today. We had a raw northeast wind coming off the water and, from time-to-time, a little rain to enhance the cold temps. We cranked up the woodstove tonight so all is well in our toasty, comfortable abode.

Money Update – After getting in a short run, I noticed a few bottles and cans that were lying along the route, and after stretching out I jumped on the mountain bike and gathered them up. I also found 3 pennies during that process. The first penny was found on Riverbank and the other two on Goodwin.

The evening walk churned out the remaining 35 cents (2 dimes and 15 pennies). At the car wash we found 11 cents, all pennies and all scattered about in various places. Then, at the skateboard park we scooped up 14 cents. Finally, walking through the 7-11 we found the last coin, a dime, lying on the ground in one of the parking spaces.

Good Night and Good Hunting!

Hi Tanyetta, actually, I have a big pink piggy bank that I throw mine in. Michele has a huge bowl that holds hers. Each of us gets 6 months worth of the money we find.

Thanks for stopping by!

Best,

Jim

Still Cold there, huh? So, glad I moved from those northeastern weather patterns. Funny thing, though... I'm out all day but find fewer coins than you. I've got to start that jogging routine.

Hi Andy, you haven't seen the half of it. We were hit with a snowstorm the following day, I hear there's a chance for another one next week. Last time I checked though, this was supposed to be spring.

Best,

Jim
