Today we found 19 cents and 48 bottles and cans.
Our coin finding time was limited today due to a spaghetti supper for the girl’s field hockey team. Tomorrow is the opening round of the playoffs and we always host the pasta dinner the night before. To say that the girls were excited would be an understatement. Needless to say, we’re hoping for a big win tomorrow so we can do it all again.
Front the coin front – Michele got shutout once again on her morning walk with Lexi. It’s still pretty dark out when she starts her walks now and without the glint of a coin angled at just the right light, it’s tough sledding.
On my run I did find one coin, however, it was a foreign coin and undistinguishable at this time. I found out in the middle of Pleasant Street and it had been run over several times. While running errands I was able to snag 3 pennies, all at the Cumberland Farms in Somersworth while getting gas. The remaining 16 cents came on the evening walk, which was later than normal. The first 2 pennies were found on Main Street. Then, at the 7-11, Michele found one penny. At the car wash we found 2 pennies, one near a vacuum island and one in the self-server bays. The final 11 cents came at the rite aid parking lot, a dime and a penny.
