In The Grip...

Today we found 13 cents in change and 12 bottles and cans.

While in the throes of January, we continue our vigil for currency on the snow-covered streets and walkways of Sanford/Springvale. Last night we got a nice new coat of white thanks to a fast moving clipper that moved through the area depositing an inch of snow. Winter is firmly here, folks, and by the end of the week it will once again feel like the Arctic. Brrr….

Money Finds – Michele was the first to strike gold in the coin finding category with a single penny on her run. She snagged it heading up Oak Street on her way to completing a 3-miler. Nice pick on that one!

The rest of the loot was uncovered during our evening walk. The 12 cents came from one single location, and yes, you guessed it, the good old car wash came through again. We picked up one penny in the vacuum area on the ground and a dime and a penny in the self-serve bays.
