And The Beat Goes On….
Today we found 73 cents in change and 20 bottles and cans.
It’s too bad we have some snow significant snow coming on Monday because this month has been simply spectacular. It would have been interesting to see just how much we would’ve racked up in ideal conditions. Still, the snow isn’t here quite yet, and there were plenty of coins out there on the roads waiting to be found.
Michele was the first to collect some currency this Saturday with a penny on her walk with Lexi. She found it on Main Street next to the Black Bear café. It’s a new breakfast/lunch place that we just adore. The food is great and the service is excellent, plus, it seems to be a new hot spot for coin finding! Michele also found another 6 cents on her run (1 nickel and 1 penny). The nickel came courtesy of the high school and the penny was recovered on Bridge Street. She added another 11 cents (1 dime and 1 penny) while running down to Walmart.
The lion’s share of our finds came once again on our evening walk with 55 cents. We snagged one penny in the rite aid parking lot. Then, at the car wash, found another 54 cents (2 quarters and 4 pennies). Both of the quarters were on a ledge near the coin insert for a self-serve bay while the 4 pennies were found together, near a vacuum station.
Over and Out!
Money totals for 2007 – 10.37
Money totals since Jan. 2005 – 349.36
Bottle and Can totals for 2006 – 14,630 – 731.50
Bottle and Can totals since Jan. 2007 – 24,652 – 1,232.60
