Goodbye To February!

Today we found 1.76 in change and 79 bottles and cans.

It seems only fitting that we end the month of February with a bang! We really poured it on with our totals the last week to ten days with some impressive numbers, and it showed, both in the money totals and with the bottles and cans amounts. It does look as though our run, after Thursday, might be temporarily interrupted due to a major snowstorm heading our way late Thursday night and into Friday. It looks like March will be coming in like a lion!

Money Talk – We really had a tough time getting things on the money scene today. During my run to the bank and to do groceries, I came up empty. Michele also struck out at work. On our run we also scored a big fat zero. We finally broke through on the evening walk, but even that didn’t come easy at first. The usual suspects like the rite aid parking lot, Main Street and the high school failed to produce. Luckily for us we still had the car wash, which paid huge dividends with 1.69 in change (6 quarters, 1 nickel and 14 pennies). All but one quarter was found in, around and on top of the vacuum islands. The aforementioned quarter was found on the ground in one of the self-serve bays. The remaining 7 cents of the walk came for the 7-11 parking lot (1 nickel and 2 pennies). All three coins were on the ground in one of the parking spaces.
